Crystalens Hd (crystal Lens Hd Implant) Will Make You Forget You Ever Had Cataract
Our eyes contain a transparent, biconvex intraocular tissue that helps bring rays of light to a focus on the retina this is known as the crystalline lens (natural lens). As we as baby boomers are aging this lens, unfortunately, stiffens and hardens causing us to lose our ability to focus and creating vision problems. When this lens becomes so cloudy or opaque that our retinas cannot create clear images, it is said that we have contracted a cataract. With a cataract, it becomes extremely difficult to see in very bright light or low–lighted conditions.
Fortunately developing a cataract does not mean you will never see again as doctors worldwide can perform cataract surgery in a safe and effective way so as to improve your vision. The surgical procedure for cataract is very simple. The doctors simply remove the cloudy natural lens and replace it with a crystal lens.
This lens has been the first implant that works exactly like the human eye. It instantly adjusts focus so that you will be able to see both near and far. According to Dr. Michael Woodcock, a highly experienced board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vision correction surgery at Carolina Vision Center, it is a fairly short surgery and that he normally attaches the lens to the muscles of the eye during a ten-minute procedure.

There is also usually a very short recovery period. Most patients are able to carry on with their everyday lives almost immediately after surgery though you will be given follow up appointments so as to allow the doctor to monitor your recovery. When Sherry Jasinski, a middle aged lady, was first diagnosed with cataract in 2003 by Dr. Lawrence A. Seigel, M.D., the founding eye surgeon of Suncoast Eye Center, she was told that she had just needed new glasses and to ‘keep an eye’ on it. By 2006 the cataract had indeed gotten worse; Sherry noticed that she was not seeing things as bright as before and that her glasses no longer performed their duties especially at night.
Dr Seigel performed cataract surgery on Sherry in 2007 and the results were nothing short of amazing. She had her right eye done first so as to test what the results would be like. She soon found that the results were great; everything was bright and well outlined. Upon leaving the surgery center she was able to perform most of her normal tasks as she had perfect vision from her right eye. After such amazing results Sherry, soon after, had Dr Seigel perform the surgery on her left eye.
Now, a year after surgery Sherry has only one regret and that is that she had not done the surgery sooner. When she went for her check up the tests revealed that she had 20/20 vision. Sherry agrees that the results are incredibly wonderful and she would quickly recommend the procedure to anyone diagnosed with cataracts.
